11” x 15” Speedball on Stonehenge
The veil between the worlds grows thin as the moon casts its eerie glow, and the darkness beckons you to partake. Ready your spirit for this bone-chilling visual experience as the Horror Poster Show emerges from the shadowy abyss, from its haunting slumber to the world in which we live presenting you with re-imagined visualizations of classic horror movies!

James Thomson is a graphic designer based in Calgary. A graduate of AUArts, his illustration work combines traditional drawing and digital media. James is lover of music, film and pop culture exploring all manner of visual communication.
‘The Hand’ is an Oliver Stone film from 1981 starring Michael Caine. It tells the tale of a comic artist who loses his hand in a car accident only to find that the severed appendage has taken on a (murderous) life of its own! This film is a so-bad-it's-good thrill ride for fans of classic horror and bad haircuts. Naturally, I jumped at the chance to draw a mutilated zombie hand.
