"Blake (they/them) is an Indigenous non-binary maker and award-winning radio host living and working in Mohkinstsis, Treaty 7 (colonially known as Calgary, Alberta) who utilizes their toolbox of diverse skills and experience to construct and sustain an intimate community where folks can feel free and safe to be who they authentically are.

McLeod wears many hats of specified skill which includes but is not limited to screen printing, digital design, photography, videography, DJing, and workshop facilitation. This varied proficiency allows McLeod to not only be a resource of information that can be instructed and shared, but also to champion the importance of collaboration between artists. If one person can do so much on their own, just imagine what two or more aligned minds are capable of?

Fuelled by an avid desire to dismantle the scarcity mindset surrounding professional creative projects, McLeod centers the importance of listening and learning from each other to build trust, relationships, and a catalog of visually engaging work.

With a background involving a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Distinction in Drawing from AuArts, technical training from SAIT’s New Media Production & Design program, working alongside artists in studio, and a multitude of events, workshops, and fundraising efforts in Mohkinstsis, McLeod is determined to have folks know – they are not alone"
